Pickup: At Spirit of the Earth Farm

Our vegetables and fruits are grown "beyond organic, ultimately sustainable", true to the methods developed by Rudolf Steiner and presented to farmers in 1924. That means:

- No herbicides used on the property (yes we have weeds!)

-All our liquid fertilizers are made from on-property materials

- Our composts are made from manure from our own cows, and on-farm grasses and weeds.

- all our composts are treated with the Biodynamic preparations 502-7

- Our property has had the Biodynamic preparations 500 and 501 spread throughout on a regular basis.

- Pesticides used are OMRI approved: BT, Pyganic, and Monterey Garden Spray, total spraying usually less than 10 days out of the year.
