Located in historic North Kohala on the Big Island of Hawaii on 10 lush acres with sweeping ocean views and the island of Maui, Lokahi Garden Sanctuary includes extensive vegetable, medicinal and culinary herb gardens, fruit and nut orchards, and small tree forests that include native and “useful” trees. The sanctuary is home to over 250 different species of plants and trees and an active farm internship program where people live and learn about nurturing the soil, growing organic foods, caring for animals, and living sustainably. The farm tour offers a 90 minute guided experience that is very informative and delights the senses.
