Hāna Fresh sells organic produce grown on-site, healthy takeout plates and smoothies.
Focusing on nutritious eating, as an important component of a healthy lifestyle, Hāna Fresh grows, prepares and markets food that supports the health and self-sufficiency of the Hāna community.
Hāna Fresh started as a small garden on vacant, overgrown property behind the health center. Although the land was not considered suitable for farming due to it’s rocky nature, Hāna Fresh initiated alternative farming techniques and continues to work on soil building and revitalization. Today, Hāna Fresh is a 7-acre certified organic farm growing over 100 varieties of gourmet quality vegetables, fruits, herbs, and traditional Hawaiian food and medicine crops. Hāna Fresh produce can be purchased at our Farm Stand, and is available in select Maui locations – specialty markets and fine restaurants – on a limited basis.
The Nutrition Center with its certified kitchen extends the reach of the farm with chef-prepared meals that highlight Hāna Fresh produce as well as fish caught in Hana waters by local fisherman. Even in Hawaii, produce and fresh fish are seasonal, so our menu changes to reflect the harvest.
