This is a 2-day Tahitian dance and drumming competition and festival which features participants from Hawai`i, the Mainland and other overseas places. Competitors range in age from toddler to elder. Both solo and group competitions are held. A variety of Pacific island related products are sold by food and arts and crafts vendors. Cultural practitioners of lauhala weaving, fire knife dancing, Ni`ihau shell jewelry making, Polynesian carving, drum making and coco palm weaving offer demonstrations daily. The event is held outdoors, at Kapa`a Beach Park.
